![]() Several Pokémon are placed in categories that hold little resemblance to their perceived color, or which would be more logically placed in a different category. Prior to Generation VII, Pokémon with multiple forms, such as Wormadam and Shellos, were categorized into their most common form's color. No orange category exists Pokémon that are primarily orange are listed as red, yellow, or brown. While the actual colors of the Pokémon species can vary, the color listed in the Pokédex is usually the color most apparent or covering each Pokémon's body. Besides its use in the Pokédex, a Pokémon's color only has an aesthetic effect with the exception of the Festive Feud Wi-Fi tournament, where only red, white, or green Pokémon could compete. In Pokémon HOME, it is also described as a Pokémon's main color in English. It is no longer visible in-game in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!, Let's Go, Eevee!, Sword, Shield, Legends: Arceus, and the Generation IX games, although it remains defined in the internal data. This listing is available as a search method in the Pokédex in the Generation III, V, and VI games, Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon, Bank, and HOME and can also be seen in the Pokémon Storage System in the Generation IV and V games and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
